So if you dont know what moombahton is, thats understandable. but be in the dark no more my readers! KC Love is here to educate ya :)


Moombahton (n): A genre created last year by Dave Nada (half of the EDM duo Nadastrom). Dave was a DJing a high school skipping party for his cousin when he decided to slow down Afrojack's Moombah & Sidney Samson's Riverside to about 108 bpm. Slowed down, the dutch songs sounded similar to the Latin genre reggaeton, and thus moombahton was born ♥

So that was the beginning. Over the course of a year moombahton saw steady growth, but the genre really saw a huge spike in popularity this past March as dozens of DJs dropped moombahton bangers in their sets. Mad Decent even hosted a moombahton Blow Your Head party, with sets from Dave Nada, Dillon Francis, Toddla T, Heartbreak, and HOL's favorite: JWLS!
